2020 was our most memorable year to date. Despite the extreme worry and sleepless nights 2020 brought ashore we are fortunate enough to be able to look back on it in fondness. We want to share our positive memories of 2020 to encourage you all to look for some of the positives in 2020 too!

We launched 2020 with the installation of our 300L copper Still Dora-Grace. She was crafty in Germany and is one of a kind. The team at Adrian have done an incredible  job and we can’t wait to showcase her to you all in our new distillery.

When the pandemic hit in March we set about creating hand rub and shipped this across the UK to help those most in need including the Nightingale hospital in London. Many of our stockists diversified too offering home delivery to those most vulnerable in society. Our schools and colleges came together to create face masks and the neighbourly spirit across the region was something that will go down in history.

Though the pandemic pushed our business to its limits we were adamant that we must continue with our aspiration to be more sustainable and support our local economy.  We moved our bottle manufacturing from France to down the road in Yorkshire. The move allowed us to create our bespoke bottle which is a true tribute to the Yorkshire Coast. Link

During all this we scooped 2 star Great Taste Awards for 2 of our gins!

Then in September after 18 months of trial and tribulation we were granted planning permission to restore 2 derelict barns into a new world class distillery with sustainability at its core.  Find out more here.

In October we released our spookacular Demeter Edition exclusively for the Craft Gin Club which saw our Whitby Gin distributed across the UK. The feedback was outstanding and our release was in the top two British campaigns for 2020. Due to the success of The Demeter Edition we hope to add it to our range this year so watch this space!

We are so grateful that we were able to achieve this despite the extreme challenges during the year. Thank you once again for the support!

We wish you all the best health and happiness for 2021.
