Craft Gin Club- The Demeter Edition

18 months ago, we started developing a new exclusive edition with the Craft Gin Club. The Craft Gin Club is the UK's biggest subscription club for gin lovers with a huge audience across the UK & beyond. Each month, members receive a box containing the gin a of the month from around the world along with tonics, mixers and a range of tasty snacks.

We were overwhelmed when we found out that Whitby Gin had been selected out of hundreds of Gin to be Craft Gin Clubs October 2020 Edition.

We saw this as an amazing opportunity to share the delights of Whitby across the UK. The Demeter Edition was something we had wanted to create for a long time and so we decided to offer the first release direct to the Craft Gin Club family.

When the first Covid-19 lockdown was announced in March 2020 this happened to be the time set aside to distil The Demeter Edition. Therefore, in a lot of ways the halt in sales which the lockdown created allowed us the time to really focus of the creation of The Demeter Edition ( we always try and look for the silver lining). 

Whitby Gin The Demeter Edition (42% ABV) is a tribute to the vessel which is said to have brought Dracula to the shore of Whitby in Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula. This gin is rich, heady and juniper-forward, with a slight bite. It’s fragrant on the nose, led by the heather tip, rosehip and elderflower. On the palate, sweet notes of plum and vanilla are followed by a kick of pepper dulse, with its powerful, coastal flavours which fade into a pleasantly spiced finish.

The month of October was a huge success. The feedback on The Demeter Edition  has been outstanding and the photographs have been Spooktacular. Here is a look at some of our favourites.
